Thank you for your application to study medicine at the School of Medicine, University of Southampton.



Our selection process is undertaken by a team of selectors who consider every application thoroughly, assessing it against our published selection criteria. Due to the number of applications received and the complexity of our selection procedure, it may therefore be some time before you receive a decision on your application from us. We will continue to confirm final decisions up until the end of April 2007.



If you do receive an offer from us you will be invited to visit the School of Medicine and talk to some of our staff and current students. These visits are scheduled to take place between February and April 2007. We do not interview in the majority of cases.



If you have applied for more than one Bachelor of Medicine programme at Southampton you are likely to receive a decision on each programme on separate occasions. In addition, you may receive different decisions as you will be in competition with a different group of applicants in each case.
